Choosing a real estate agent to show your property often times means less headache, time and details for you to deal with.  A realtor will do a lot of the work for you.  There are other things you must consider though.  Yes, it sounds great, sell your house and not have to deal with it.  Did you know that often times a realtor will charge between 6-7% commission on a house?  On a $200,000 house that equals out to be around $12,000- $14,000. So you want to get the most money out of your house without paying someone else to do so.  Often times you will save thousands if not tens of thousands by selling yourself.  Think it's pretty simple?  Yes and no.  It can be done, but you need to be devoted to focusing on this one task.  Who knows your house better than you?  Don't think your going to be swimming in money yet though.  You will have to spend time, go through legal papers, advertise yourself, and show the house yourself.  More...
